Dare to Be

Over the past few weeks, three Bradley graduate students working on their final project, Dare to Be, have come to visit our Junior and Senior girls. Sorry boys, this isn’t for you because these students were here to help empower our girls to be strong leaders and to break the glass ceiling.
The students came to school a total of four times. The first two times they visited in advisor. While in these advisor sessions, they brought two empowered women who dared to be the best they could be and are now very successful. The students and their speakers talked about what it means it this society to be a woman and to be a powerful force in the workforce and market. At the second meeting they gave a way a few gift cards to Buffalo Wild Wings. On Thursday the 10th, Dare to Be put on a job and college fair. At this fair they brought in around seven colleges and a few business people. The hope was that girls would come and start making connections. After the job fair, Dare to Be came back one more time, this time for a wrap up meeting. At the last meeting the Bradley students brought in one more speaker and asked the girls to fill out a post survey.
The Dare to Be program is done at our school, but if anyone would like more information you can find them on Facebook, by searching “Dare to Be.”
